When you log into the Northwell Primary Care Now app, you'll be asked to enter your email and select Submit - this should prompt a green banner above your email confirming an email has been sent:

Once you submit your email address, check your email inbox on the same device the app is downloaded to. You should receive a message with a Continue button, which will prompt the app to open to your account:

If you don't receive an email with the link right away, wait 1-2 minutes - there may be a delay if you are using a secure email. If you still do not receive the email after waiting, check your spam or junk email folder to see if it ended up there.

To reach a doctor through the Northwell Primary Care Now app, select Book your visit from the Home screen and use the search bar to find the appropriate symptom or care option:

Yes, we can delete your Northwell Primary Care Now  account. Once requested, we will remove your app account and all identifiable information associated with it, within 30 days. Please note that we are legally obligated to retain your medical records in accordance with applicable laws.

You can request deletion by contacting support by clicking on the “Contact Support” button on the help page and submitting the contact form. If you are deleting an account to resolve a login or profile issue in the app, please let us know more about the problem and we'll see what we can do.

If you need to adjust notification settings in the Northwell Primary Care Now  app, log into your account in the app and select the Profile tab on the lower right corner of the screen. You should see a Communication Preferences option in your account settings.

Tapping Go to Settings will take you to the notification settings on your phone where you can turn off notifications directly. This will turn off notifications for the Northwell Primary Care Now app only.

Northwell Primary Care Now providers are licensed to practice in New York. Because of this, the app is only available within New York at this time. If you are from another state visiting New York, you are welcome to use the app. If you are a New York resident, but are currently located in another state, service will not be available.

We do not accept payments in the Northwell Primary Care Now app. If applicable, a bill will be sent after the visit to collect any co-payments and/or co-insurance in accordance with your insurer’s policy on telehealth consultations and services. 

Most major insurers are accepted. Please check with your insurer if you have any questions.

The Northwell Primary Care Now app is designed for smartphones and is available for both iOS and Android phones. If you have a tablet that’s synced with your phone, you will see the app on your tablet, but we recommend only accessing Northwell Primary Care Now on your phone for the best user experience. The app is not available for use on a computer.

During all virtual visits on the app, you’ll speak with a Northwell Primary Care Now provider. You can also message with your dedicated care concierge team, who are there to help you with any non-medical questions you may have.

Doctors are available 7a-9p ET Monday-Sunday for patients located in New York. Visits can be scheduled in advance.

Northwell Primary Care Now covers Primary Care. Services will cover adults aged 18 and up in New York. We do not prescribe controlled substances.

The doctor will complete a short video visit during your consultation. If you encounter any issues accessing the microphone or camera on your phone during a video visit, please reach out to the care team at 315-642-1762.
